Development as Teachers
With close supervision and guidance from the OUDEM faculty, residents develop and deliver lectures, and organize and participate in seminars, covering a variety of topics. The residents are also able to gain experience from presenting to a larger audience, as early as their PGY1 year. Each year, all residents prepare an educational, research, or clinical topic (e.g., case report) for presentation at an annual University-wide symposium. Residents receive feedback from students to assess the benefit of their teaching. Residents value this feedback and use it to improve their teaching.
