Residency didactics efforts are focused on Thursday sessions, which last 5 hours each week, and include monthly visiting lecturers. Education for our residents has been facilitated by the move of the OUDEM physical base to newly renovated offices – an entire floor – at HMC. The space contains a new lecture hall, a library and resident lounge, and resident office/study space. Wet-lab space allows teaching of procedures such as complex soft tissue closures and extensor tendon repair, and simulation education capabilities round out the educational facilities at the new office suite. There is an additional OUDEM library at the departmental offices at the university. |
