Division Background and Goals
The Division of Medical Informatics has as its main goal, the use of information technology to facilitate the delivery of high-quality care in the acute-care setting. The Division’s goals are to work with available and emerging technology, to create informatics systems that not only facilitate work efficiency, but also assist physicians to actually provide better care (e.g. through enabling access to imaging performed at an outside/transferring facility).
