Oklahoma Disaster Institute

 

MISSION:

To build resilient Oklahomans through education on disaster medical care, preparedness, response, and recovery.

VISION:

The Oklahoma Disaster Institute leads and coordinates efforts to develop and provide core curricula, education, training, and research in all-hazards disaster health care across the state of Oklahoma.
 

The OU Department of Emergency Medicine is home to the Oklahoma Disaster Institute (ODI). 

The Institute, funded by a grant from the state, works in strong partnership with the Oklahoma State Department of Health and disaster managers throughout the state. 

Current foci of ODI's research, education, and outreach include Trauma Systems and Disaster Preparedness and Response.
